Louis Roederer reklámtükör – José Simont grafikája – 1960–70-es évek – 75 × 57 cm – ELADÓ

Nagyméretű, az 1960–70-es évekre datálható Champagne Louis Roederer reklámtükör, José Simont (1875–1968) katalán származású grafikus és illusztrátor eredeti, 1900-as évek elején készült reklámkompozíciója alapján.

Az eredeti reklámgrafika története

José Simont a Belle Époque korszakának ismert illusztrátora volt. 1898-ban Párizsban telepedett le, 1902-től pedig több mint négy évtizeden át a francia L’Illustration folyóirat egyik meghatározó rajzolójaként dolgozott. Pályafutása során több reklámkompozíciót készített a Champagne Louis Roederer pezsgőház számára.

A tükrön látható eredeti illusztráció a századforduló elegáns francia társasági életét idézi.

A kompozíció eredeti, számozott litográfiai kiadásának példányai napjainkban is szerepelnek nemzetközi művészeti aukciókon.

A reklámtükör

A hátoldalt kartonpapír borítja, amelyet a kerethez fém rögzítőelemek erősítenek.

Louis Roederer Advertising Mirror – Artwork by José Simont – 1960s–1970s – 75 × 57 cm

Large Champagne Louis Roederer advertising mirror, believed to date from the 1960s–1970s, featuring a reproduction of an original early 20th-century advertising illustration by José Simont (1875–1968), the Catalan-born artist and illustrator.

The History of the Original Artwork

José Simont was a prominent illustrator of the Belle Époque period. He settled in Paris in 1898 and began working for the French magazine L’Illustration in 1902, remaining one of its leading illustrators for more than four decades.

During his career, Simont created several advertising illustrations for the Champagne Louis Roederer house.

The original composition featured on this mirror depicts an elegant scene from French high society at the beginning of the 20th century.

At the centre, a woman wearing an elaborate evening gown and jewellery is seated at a table. To her left, a formally dressed gentleman pours champagne into her glass, while another gentleman on her right raises a napkin to his face.

The detailed linework, restrained colours and refined portrayal of the figures reflect the characteristic style of José Simont’s early advertising illustrations.

Examples of the original composition from a numbered lithographic edition have also appeared at international art auctions.

The Advertising Mirror

The historical illustration was reproduced as a decorative advertising mirror, believed to have been manufactured during the 1960s–1970s.

The artwork is printed directly onto the mirrored glass surface and is surrounded by a deep burgundy mirrored border, fine gold-coloured detailing and a profiled gold-coloured frame.

The inscription CHAMPAGNE LOUIS ROEDERER appears beneath the illustration.

The reverse features a cardboard backing secured to the frame with metal retaining clips.
