RUINART × VICTORIA WILMOTTE – 2026

Különleges, szignált alumínium pezsgőhűtő – kortárs francia design

2026-ban, a rangos párizsi PAD művészeti és designvásáron bemutatott, különleges formatervezésű pezsgőhűtő, amelyet Victoria Wilmotte francia designer alkotott a Ruinart pezsgőház számára.

A kollekciót a 2026.

Victoria Wilmotte – a tervező

Tanulmányait a párizsi École Camondo intézményben kezdte, ahol belsőépítészetet tanult.

A Reims városában található, crayères néven ismert föld alatti krétapincék természetes kőzetfelületei, szabálytalan geometriai formái és különleges fény-árnyék hatásai inspirálták a pezsgőhűtő kialakítását.

A pezsgőhűtő részletes bemutatása

A pezsgőhűtő alumíniumból készült, ezüstszínű, selyemfényű, finoman tükröződő felületkialakítással.

A különböző síkok finom kontrasztja teszi különösen látványossá a pezsgőhűtőt.

A felső perem szabálytalan sokszögű formát követ, amely harmonikusan kapcsolódik a tárgy teljes geometriai szerkezetéhez.

A belső felületek szintén finoman tagoltak, a fenékrész pedig kör alakú, enyhén mélyített kialakítású.

Az edény egyik oldalán függőlegesen elhelyezett, klasszikus betűformákkal készült RUINART felirat látható.

A hátsó rész felső szakaszán a tervező világos színű, kézírásos jellegű Victoria Wilmotte-szignója található.

Ugyanakkor önmagában, használat nélkül is látványos dekorációs tárgyként érvényesül.

RUINART × VICTORIA WILMOTTE – 2026

Exclusive Signed Aluminium Champagne Bucket – Contemporary French Design

An exceptional champagne bucket designed by renowned French designer Victoria Wilmotte for the prestigious Champagne House Ruinart, unveiled at PAD Paris, the international art and design fair, in 2026.

The collaboration between Ruinart and Victoria Wilmotte resulted in two exclusive champagne service pieces: a champagne bucket and a larger champagne cooler.

Presented at PAD Paris, held from 8 to 12 April 2026, this collection represents a remarkable meeting of contemporary French design, traditional craftsmanship and artistic innovation.

The champagne bucket stands out for its sculptural geometry, distinctive faceted surfaces and refined aluminium construction. More than a functional champagne accessory, it is an expressive contemporary design object.

Victoria Wilmotte – The Designer

Victoria Wilmotte (born in Paris in 1985) is an internationally recognised French designer whose work is distinguished by bold geometric forms, innovative material treatments and a strong architectural sensibility.

She is the daughter of the celebrated French architect and interior designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Growing up in an environment deeply connected to architecture, art and design, she developed an early fascination with materials, shapes and construction processes.

She initially studied interior architecture at the prestigious École Camondo in Paris before continuing her education at the Royal College of Art in London, where she completed a Master’s degree under the guidance of internationally acclaimed designer and sculptor Ron Arad.

In 2008, she returned to Paris and established her own design studio.

From the beginning of her career, Wilmotte distinguished herself through her unconventional approach to materials, precise geometric compositions and interest in both industrial manufacturing and traditional craftsmanship.

In 2009, she designed a collection of carafes for the Parisian Tools Galerie and held her first solo exhibition at the Pierre Bergé & Associés gallery in Brussels.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous prestigious international brands, manufacturers and design galleries, including:

  • ClassiCon
  • Carpenters Workshop Gallery
  • Poliform
  • Legrand
  • Made in Design
  • La Redoute
  • IKEA
  • Wallpaper
  • Land Rover

Among her notable creations are the Pli furniture collection for ClassiCon and the Piega mirror collection, both celebrated for their striking folded surfaces, precise angles and extraordinary interaction with light.

Victoria Wilmotte’s creative approach often moves beyond conventional product design and enters the realm of sculpture.

She is particularly interested in the relationship between mass and volume, positive and negative space, geometric precision and the way light interacts with different surfaces.

Metal, steel and natural stone are among her preferred materials. She frequently combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced industrial techniques to produce objects that are both functional and sculptural.

Her distinctive approach is often described as “industrial sculpture.”

One of the most fascinating aspects of her work is her ability to transform seemingly ordinary materials into architectural and visually expressive objects.

By manipulating folds, angles, edges and reflective surfaces, she creates designs that appear to change continuously according to the surrounding light and viewing angle.

These characteristics are clearly expressed in the aluminium champagne bucket she designed for Ruinart in 2026.

The 2026 Ruinart Collaboration

The collaboration between Victoria Wilmotte and Ruinart was conceived around the relationship between nature, materials, craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne House and has a long tradition of supporting contemporary artists and designers.

For this particular project, Victoria Wilmotte drew her inspiration directly from Ruinart’s historic underground chalk cellars in Reims.

Known as the crayères, these remarkable underground spaces are carved into natural chalk formations.

Their irregular rock surfaces, mineral textures, angular structures and interplay of light and shadow inspired the designer’s reinterpretation of the traditional champagne bucket.

Wilmotte translated these geological characteristics into a contemporary sculptural form.

By dividing the aluminium body into a series of carefully arranged geometric facets, she gave the metal the appearance of a solid piece of rock that had been precisely carved and polished.

The aluminium appears as though it has been sculpted from stone.

An important consideration in the project was responsible material selection. The chosen material was recycled and recyclable aluminium, combining lightness, durability and exceptional possibilities for shaping and finishing.

The result is an object that retains its original function while becoming a sculptural interpretation of natural geological formations.

Each facet reflects the designer’s creative vision and the craftsmanship associated with the historic Champagne House.

Detailed Description of the Champagne Bucket

This remarkable champagne bucket is crafted from aluminium with an elegant satin-finished silver surface and subtle reflective qualities.

Its distinctive silhouette is slightly tapered, widening towards the top, with a body composed of multiple vertical geometric panels meeting at carefully defined angles.

The faceted construction recalls the structure of a cut mineral, a crystalline formation or a piece of sculpted natural stone.

The interplay between the precisely arranged surfaces creates a constantly changing visual effect as light moves across the object.

Depending on the viewing angle and lighting conditions, its surfaces display cool silver and bluish-grey reflections alongside warmer champagne and golden tones.

The upper rim follows an irregular polygonal outline, perfectly complementing the architectural geometry of the body.

The interior continues the faceted design, while the base features a slightly recessed circular centre with concentric detailing.

One side of the champagne bucket bears the distinctive RUINART name, arranged vertically in elegant, traditional lettering.

On the upper section of the reverse is the discreet Victoria Wilmotte signature, executed in light-coloured, handwritten-style lettering.

This signature is a particularly attractive and important design detail, directly associating the object with its creator.

The bucket is relatively lightweight yet stable, offering both practical functionality and sophisticated aesthetics.

Its dimensions make it suitable for chilling and presenting a bottle of champagne with ice.

Equally impressive when displayed without a bottle, it serves as a freestanding decorative object, ideally suited to an elegant interior, contemporary design collection, luxury bar or refined hospitality setting.

Collectible and Design Significance

The Victoria Wilmotte champagne bucket created for Ruinart represents an intriguing example of contemporary French design from 2026.

Its significance lies in the combination of an internationally recognised designer’s distinctive creative language with the heritage of one of France’s most prestigious Champagne Houses.

The result brings together luxury craftsmanship, architectural geometry, thoughtful material selection and sculptural expression.

The designer’s signature, the documented 2026 collaboration and the presentation at PAD Paris add to its appeal for collectors of contemporary design, Champagne memorabilia and distinctive luxury accessories.

Unlike conventional champagne buckets, this piece offers a particularly strong artistic identity.

Its faceted aluminium body transforms an everyday serving object into an elegant contemporary sculpture.
