Each piece is adorned with the iconic Art Nouveau floral motif, the Japanese anemone. This collector’s set dates from the 1960s, featuring hand-painted Japanese anemones.
The origin of this decoration traces back to 1902, when Octave Gallice commissioned Émile Gallé to create the iconic Belle Époque bottle for Perrier-Jouët. In 1964, cellar master André Baveret rediscovered Gallé’s original bottles painted in 1902, which led to the revival of the Belle Époque cuvée. Since then, Perrier-Jouët has continuously used the anemone motif, making it the iconic design on all Belle Époque bottles.
