Pompás acél pezsgőszablya a híres Thiers márkától, Franciaországban készült, eredeti dobozában. Jó állapotban van, némi korának megfelelő jellegzetes nyomokkal (lásd a fotókat).

A legenda szerint maga Napóleon Bonaparte is büszke volt az Első Kardforgató címére, és az ünnepségek során gyakran ismételte azt a mondatot, amely valódi mottóvá vált:
„A pezsgő: győzelem esetén jutalom, vereség esetén szükséglet.”
Akár igaz, akár nem, a történet rendkívül hangulatos, és tovább szövi a pezsgő mítoszához kapcsolódó legendákat.

Magnificent steel sabre from the famous Thiers brand, Made in France, with its original box, in good condition with some signs of age (see photos).

It is said that Napoleon Bonaparte himself boasted of the title of first Sabreur (swordsman) and that during the celebrations he used to repeat what became a real motto:
“Champagne: a merit in victory, a necessity in defeat.”
Whether true or not, the story is very evocative and adds to the legends surrounding the myth of Champagne.
