Állapot
A bemutatott darab használt, külső és belső felülete karcmentes. Az alját egy korábbi ütés érte, melynek nyoma ma is látható – ezt a fotókon részletesen bemutatjuk. A sérülés kizárólag az aljrészen található, használat közben nem látható, a funkcionalitást nem érinti, a darab teljesen szivárgásmentes.

Ruinart × Ron Arad – Limited Edition Champagne Cooler / Ice Basin
Made in France, this is an emblematic piece of the Maison Ruinart, created in collaboration with world-renowned designer and architect Ron Arad. Conceived as part of the Ruinart × Ron Arad artistic collaboration, this champagne cooler combines refined minimalism with a distinctly sculptural presence.
Ron Arad applied his mastery of curved forms and metalwork to the creation of this cooler. Gently compressed to form a unique pleated effect, the softly contoured basin is crafted from solid pewter and produced by the prestigious Orfèvrerie d’Anjou. The material offers an elegant flexibility and an exceptionally luminous surface finish.
Condition
The piece presented here has been previously used. Both the interior and exterior surfaces are free of scratches. The base shows evidence of a past impact, which is still visible and documented in the photographs. Fortunately, this mark is located on the underside of the basin, not visible during use, and does not affect functionality. The cooler is completely watertight.

The edition is limited to only five pieces, each numbered and signed by Ron Arad. The complete five-piece collector’s set, released in 2019, was originally presented in a wooden crate and accompanied by a cleaning kit, white gloves, and a magnum of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne. At the time of release, the full five-piece boxed collection carried an original retail price of €15,000.

The presented RUINART × RON ARAD ice basin arrived to us in a heavily worn condition. How did it regain its former brilliance and return to a state worthy of its stature? The answer lies in many hours of meticulous machine and hand polishing.
Moreover, the restoration and polishing of pewter objects require specialized expertise due to the material’s structural properties, making the process particularly demanding and precise.
