Modern francia formatervezés és több évszázados ónműves hagyomány találkozása az Orfèvrerie d’Anjou SosSÖ pezsgőhűtőjében. A modellt Eric Berthès francia designer tervezte, ezt a vörös változatot pedig a párizsi HÉDIARD számára készítették.
A SosSÖ legjellegzetesebb részlete a magas, a testtel egységet alkotó fogantyú. Ennek köszönhetően a pezsgőhűtő a palackkal együtt egyszerűen felemelhető és áthelyezhető. A forma egyszerre funkcionális és szoborszerű, miközben a külső felületet sem logó, sem más dekoráció nem töri meg.
Eric Berthès francia formatervező, aki többek között az École Boulle és a Strate intézményekben tanult. 2000-ben alapította Planet Design nevű ügynökségét. Munkáiban a használati funkció és az erősen felismerhető, kortárs forma gyakran szorosan összekapcsolódik.
A SosSÖ esetében a fogantyú nem különálló kiegészítő, hanem magának a pezsgőhűtőnek a folytatása. A két magasra nyúló oldal felül egyetlen fogantyúvá záródik, miközben a nagy elülső nyílás szabadon hagyja a palackot.
Az Orfèvrerie d’Anjou francia fémműves manufaktúra története 1710-ig nyúlik vissza. Angers és az Anjou régió ónműves hagyományaira építve a vállalat pezsgőhűtők, jégmedencék, asztali tárgyak, trófeák és egyedi megrendelésre készülő darabok gyártásával foglalkozik.
A manufaktúra egyik fontos alapanyaga az ón (étain / pewter), amelyet öntéssel, alakítással, csiszolással és polírozással dolgoznak meg.
A SosSÖ ennek a hagyománynak egy kifejezetten modern értelmezése. A klasszikus, kétfülű pezsgőveder helyett Eric Berthès egy magas, hordozható és azonnal felismerhető formát tervezett.
A SosSÖ alapanyaga 100%-ban élelmiszerbiztos ón, ennél a változatnál fényesre polírozott kivitelben.
A vörös szín nem magának a fémnek a természetes árnyalata. Az Orfèvrerie d’Anjou egy szabadalmaztatott színezési eljárás segítségével készítette a SosSÖ különböző színváltozatait. A modellt összesen tíz színben gyártották.
A vörös felület alatt megmarad a polírozott fém erőteljes fényvisszaverése. A napsütésben a felület a mély bordó és az élénk vörös különböző árnyalatai között változik, miközben tükörszerűen visszaveri a környezetet.

A HÉDIARD története 1854-ben kezdődött, amikor Ferdinand Hédiard Párizsban létrehozta vállalkozását. A ház egzotikus gyümölcsökkel, fűszerekkel, teákkal, kávékkal és más válogatott gasztronómiai termékekkel vált ismertté. Később a párizsi Place de la Madeleine egyik legismertebb gasztronómiai házává vált, kínálatában borokkal és champagne-okkal is.
Erre a történetre utal a pezsgőhűtő alján található „1854 – HEDIARD – PARIS” jelölés és a nagyméretű HD monogram.
Különösen szép részlet, hogy a HÉDIARD márkajelzés nem került a pezsgőhűtő külső oldalára. A három jelölés kizárólag az alján található, így használat közben a vörös, polírozott felület teljesen feliratmentes marad.

A használata egyszerű: a palackot a pezsgőhűtőbe kell helyezni, majd néhány centiméter tört jeget vagy jégkockát tenni köré. A magas fogantyúnak köszönhetően a hűtő a palackkal együtt is könnyen mozgatható.
A bemutatott darabot soha nem használták, állapota a fényképeken látható. A fényes vörös felület és a kizárólag az aljon elhelyezett HÉDIARD-jelölések miatt a tárgy egyszerre érdekes francia design- és champagne-kiegészítő.

A SosSÖ pezsgőhűtőt 2007-ben mutatták be, akkori ára 425 € volt. Ma az Orfèvrerie d’Anjou standard SosSÖ modellje kivitelezéstől függően 923–956 €-ba kerül a gyártó kínálatában.
A bemutatott HÉDIARD Paris változat ritkább, kifejezetten a HÉDIARD számára készült kivitel, alján HD / HEDIARD PARIS / 1854 jelöléssel. A darabot soha nem használták, ajándékozható állapotban van. Anyagából adódóan méltó ajándék lehet egy 10. házassági évfordulóra, azaz ónlakodalomra.
HÉDIARD Paris × Orfèvrerie d’Anjou SosSÖ – Eric Berthès Red Pewter Champagne Cooler
Modern French design meets centuries of pewter craftsmanship in the Orfèvrerie d’Anjou SosSÖ champagne cooler. Designed by French designer Eric Berthès, this red version was produced for the renowned Parisian house HÉDIARD.
The most distinctive feature of the SosSÖ is its tall integrated handle, which forms a continuous part of the body. Thanks to this design, the cooler can easily be lifted and carried with the bottle inside. Its sculptural shape combines function with a clean, immediately recognizable silhouette.
Eric Berthès is a French designer who studied at institutions including the École Boulle and Strate. In 2000, he founded his design agency, Planet Design.
His work often combines practical function with strong contemporary forms. The SosSÖ is a good example: instead of adding conventional side handles to a champagne bucket, Berthès extended the body upwards into two elegant arms that meet to form a single carrying handle.
The large central opening keeps the bottle visible while giving the cooler its characteristic architectural appearance.
The history of Orfèvrerie d’Anjou dates back to 1710. Based in the Anjou region of France, the company has built its reputation on traditional metalworking and particularly on the craftsmanship of pewter.
Its workshops have produced champagne coolers, ice buckets, tableware, trophies and bespoke objects, combining traditional techniques with contemporary design.
Pewter remains one of the company’s characteristic materials, worked through forming, casting, finishing and polishing.
The SosSÖ represents a distinctly modern interpretation of this long tradition. Instead of a conventional two-handled champagne bucket, Eric Berthès created a tall, portable object with a sculptural form and an integrated handle.
The SosSÖ is made from 100% food-safe pewter, finished here with a highly polished surface.
Its red colour is not the natural colour of the metal. Orfèvrerie d’Anjou developed a patented colouring process that allowed the SosSÖ to be produced in ten different colours.
The treatment preserves the reflective character of the polished metal beneath the colour. Depending on the light, this example shifts from deep burgundy to vivid red while retaining its mirror-like reflections.
This combination of polished pewter and intense colour is one of the defining features of the SosSÖ collection.

The example offered here was produced by Orfèvrerie d’Anjou for HÉDIARD Paris.
The history of HÉDIARD began in 1854, when Ferdinand Hédiard established his business in Paris. The house became known for exotic fruits, spices, teas, coffees and other carefully selected gourmet products.
HÉDIARD later became closely associated with the Place de la Madeleine and developed into one of the historic names of Parisian gourmet food, with wines and champagne also forming part of its selection.
This heritage is referenced on the underside of the cooler by the large HD monogram, together with the markings “1854 – HEDIARD – PARIS.”
An attractive detail of this particular edition is that there is no HÉDIARD logo or lettering on the exterior body. All branding is discreetly placed on the underside, leaving the polished red surface completely uninterrupted when the cooler is displayed or in use.

To use the SosSÖ, simply place the champagne bottle inside and add a few centimetres of crushed ice or ice cubes. The integrated handle makes it easy to move the cooler together with the chilled bottle.
The example offered here has never been used and is in the condition shown in the photographs. Its polished red finish, discreet HÉDIARD markings and distinctive Eric Berthès design make it an interesting piece of both French design and champagne accessory history.

The SosSÖ champagne cooler was introduced in 2007, with a retail price of €425 at the time. Today, the standard SosSÖ model by Orfèvrerie d’Anjou is priced between €923 and €956, depending on the finish.
The HÉDIARD Paris version presented here is a rarer edition, specially produced for HÉDIARD and marked HD / HEDIARD PARIS / 1854 on the base. It has never been used and is in giftable condition. As it is made of pewter, it would also make a fitting gift for a 10th wedding anniversary, traditionally known as the pewter anniversary.
